Cycle Chalao!
In order to address the challenge of Global Warming due to ever increasing air pollution, ‘Cycle Chalao!’ will make ‘Cycling’ as the first choice of individuals in their routine travelling by setting up a network of high-end ‘Bicycle Rental Services’ in selected areas across Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
By picking up a bicycle from one spot and leaving it at another spot to reach the last kilometre of their journey, citizens will now have the power to: Curb pollution by saving fuel, Save money on fuel and other motorized means of transport, Save time of travel by riding through traffic and using narrow bylanes, Burn calories and improve fitness!
Bicycle rental networks targeting young students and professionals will be established in various zones like University / College Campuses, Schools, Railway / Bus stations, Commercial offices, Townships and Joggers lanes. These zones will be selected based on studies of areas having high demand of short distance travel and congested, inadequate and costly transportation.
‘Cycle Chalao!’ believes in providing opportunity for people to put their awareness on climate change issues into action. Support us in facing the challenges of getting permissions from authorities, financing the initiative and developing professional systems to run the project.
