Youth Task Force - Mumbai
Right to Information is a unique act in India which empowers every citizen to ask questions and know the system of governance better. The act gives way not only to transparency and accountability in the system but also proves to be motivation for the common man to participate in the system.
In the initial days of trying to ‘know the system’ we recognized the potential within ‘Right to Information’ and started using it. But pretty soon we realize that many people lacked knowledge about RTI i.e. what is it? How to use it? When to use it? Etc. Hence, we decided to spread its importance and explain its impact to many of the (young) people like us through our Initiative ‘Youth Task Force-Mumbai’. Our vision for this programme is: “Be Aware! Be Responsible”
“Youth Task Force - Mumbai” is a programme wherein we conduct an interactive workshop on RTI in different colleges. Our intention is to spread the awareness and create a sense of social responsibility amongst the students through the use of Right To Information.
